You can buy a brand new electric 'Range Rover' with twin screens for £2,500 - but there’s a catch | The Sun

IT'S fair to say many people would have a Range Rover on their list of lottery-win motors.

In fact, this one costs less than some proper Range Rover optional extras.

The catch is, it isn't a Range Rover and it isn't made by Land Rover - although Land Rover's lawyers might want to give the company a ring.

There's been more than a little inspiration taken from the British firm's design department with this tiny EV.

It's actually made by Henan Sea Biscuit Industrial in China and is on sale at Alibaba.com for just £2,427.

However, that's before you pay to ship it to Britain and pay the import duties too.

Once it gets here, you won't actually be able to drive it on the road as it can't be registered.

It also can't hope to compete with a proper 4x4 Land Rover off-road, because the Sea Biscuit is only rear-wheel drive.

Being based on a golf cart means just 67hp and a top speed of around 30mph.

It'll also cover just 100 miles on a full charge, which takes up to 10 hours using a domestic plug.

That golf cart base also means it's tiny, with only four seats and not enough space in the back for adults to sit comfortably.

Inside, it's not exactly a Range Rover either, with fake leather seats and lots of cheap plastic on show.

That said, there is a twin-screen infotainment system that handles the driver's digital dials and entertainment.

You can even plug in your smartphone to play music and take calls.
